Use the LOC method to keep their hair moisturized. Liquid (water), Oil (Coconut, olive, grapeseed) And cream (shea butter cream, any leave in cream).

We use Mixed Chicks as well. We also use their leave in conditioner because DD's hair dries out fast.

She doesn't have the patience for me to do her hair like I'd want so I just keep it in a pony tail or bun during the day and at night I put it in a single braid. Hold on I'll try and find a picture of her with it all brushed out and nothing in it.

Pink is good for awhile but it will eventually dry hair out. It gets messy too

It's actually grown even more since then. That was in December. It's such a pain sometimes lol. But thank you!

I am mixed and my children are as well. I do my hair slightly different than my kids though. For thicker hair in one spray bottle mix warm water 2 tbs conditioner, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 dropper argan oil and shake. Just shake and use daily as a leave in or detangling spray. For thinner hair same thing but no olive oil it will weigh down the hair. Shampooing only once or twice a week at max the rest of the week use only conditioner ( co washing). Coconut oil ( 100 % unrefined is best) is essential and only use a little. Just as the other moms here have said this while dipping a wide toothed comb into water is great. It will take awhile and it's best to go in sections. I try to apply the oil from the ends up depending on the thickness/dryness of the hair because you don't want it to get weighed down or greasy. When you co wash, some people do this only and never use shampoos you will find that you will need way less oil and the curl pattern will become tighter and more defined. I also suggest checking out the Curly Girl book or Lorraine Massey( the author). Some if her stuff is on YouTube as well as online in addition to the book. It was suggested to me years ago and is amazing! She is like the Queen of Curls!

It's rare that I brush her hair dry but I like to take pictures of how it looks after haha. She's 2.5, she'll be 3 in September and honestly I don't even know. Our routine doesn't really change much. I don't use a ton of products in her hair either, just something to keep it moisturized.

We use leave in conditioner too. Cantu or Mega Grow (I think that's the name).

I've been waiting to try Mixed Chicks for DS's hair. Does anyone use the detangling spray?
