My SO had kidney failure in december 2012 (hes only 21) things have been going great hes on dialysis and its been going well.. well two weeks ago he became very sick he was dizzy, light headed, headache, stomach pain.. ect. I took him to the er they sent him home and said he just had a cold :/ a couple days later after him laying in bed for 4 days I took him to his dialysis doctor right away they determined he had a infection inside where his dialysis tube goes in his stomach. . Thankfully with strong antibiotics it cleared up within days.. well this week he had 2 appointments at st.lukes hospital 2 hours away :/ they were both long appts. I mean we were there from sun up to sun down.. they were getting him tested and getting everything together for him to get a transplant. Everything was going great. Until yesterday we took him to his weekly routine dialysis appt. And as were getting ready to go home they stop us and tell us their sending him to the hospital. His blood count was only at a 6.3 they were amazed he was able to stand up. So we got to the hospital they had a room ready and they started blood transfusions 3 bags full.. even after that his blood level is only 9.. weve been here two full days and still they still cant tell us where his bloods going.. they've done ct scans, x rays, ultrasounds, blood test, stool samples and urine test... his bloods going somewhere. :/ these nurses are bitchy.. one lady stuck him4 times with a 20g needle and still couldnt get a iv started when he has good veins. The dialysis nursesbgave us all the wrong supplys then wanted to argue with me thay I was wrong about what we normaly use... im so frustrated. Poor SO is exhauste.. we both miss our LO and all together were ready for some answers and to go home :'( :'( :'(

Right now he needs you more than your little one does, even though it's hard. Can someone bring your LO to visit maybe?

He can.. but I know he will freak out when its time to leave and I think that would only make it worse.. :( when SO first had kidney failure he was in icu for 5 days and a regular room for 3 more we went a couple days without seeing our son and we finally broke down and had him visit and it was worse seeing him scream for us :(
Im def. Not going to leave him... but I cany promise that im not gonna cry lol

It's okay to cry. Better then trying to gold the tears back.

Could someone take shifts with you? That way he's not alone but you can go visit with your LO? Doesn't even have to be long, just an hour or so. If not, I know it's not the same, but could someone set it up so you could skype with your kiddo? That way SO could see him too. :(

That's horrible. I thought he was doing perfect and healthy back on the 30th when you were saying how horrible he was for not having sex with you.

That's a quick turn. Hope he gets better.
