Quoting Mama to EC:" I have had friends hound me about using tap water with my baby asking if I knew how dangerous it was ... [snip!] ... on using bottled water... You might be interested to check out the movie "Tapped" ... Bottled water isn't all we think it is!"
yeah that's what my pedi asked to when I had to switch to formula, she has no problem with it, and where we live our water is good as well. If we have bottled water my husband will drink the crap out of it and a 24 pack will only last a week maybe half a week and we just cant afford to be going out and buying THAT much bottled water and nursery water. I mean hell my son drinks like 6 8 oz bottles a day along with plain water with his meals. We would be broke if we were buying bottled water and/or nursery water for his bottles, just a gallon of nursery water where we are is $4 and some change with tax.
I have never heard of it making them retarted I use bottled water we buy a case of what ever is we come across at sams club and I also buy a 2-3 gallons of water at the store too. We live in a city and the tap water is fine to use but I won't drink it I have ran out before and had to use tap water it just upset my sons tummy.
Quoting Mama to EC:" I used to warm my daughter's bottles and then I realized that she didn't mind it cold so I just stopped warming them. Have you tried this with your son? It is definitely easier!"
im scared to because when he was 4 months old even a slightly room temperature bottle made him spit up a ton so we had to make sure his bottles were warm and I haven't given him a cold bottle since, even when our electricity got turned off for a few hours I went to our neighbors house to get warm water because I wasn't gonna give my son a cold bottle knowing it upset his tummy.
I always use tap and was praised for by all of my kids pediatricians(we moved a lot) because it has fluoride in it.

see that's what I don't get, ive heard fluoride is bad but also that its good
tap water around here taste and smell awful.. so i used bottled water.. figured i won't drink tap so neither would he.
Filtered tap, but I've used regular tap before too.
Quoting BlackVelvet:" For the first few months nursery water after that tap"
Quoting Brantley + 1:" see that's what I don't get, ive heard fluoride is bad but also that its good"
Yeah, I don't get it. My water smells nasty and I definitely wouldn't drink it but the pediatrician keeps saying 'just use tap' so I go with what she says.
I didn't use formula long but when I did I used bottled or filtered tap.
We use filtered tap water but our pediatrician recommends using regular tap water especially once they have teeth because the fluoride is beneficial. Our tap water is really good though.
Fluoride is essential. Babies need it.
I've always used nursery water :/ our tap water here is awful and I don't drink tap either so I won't expect my kids too.....
