So I was going to do the dishes and had some water in one of my sinks, when my 20 month old stinker, comes and chucks my phone into the water! I freaked!!!!! I only got it last September. Ugh we so do not really have money to get another phone and putting it in rice never works for me. I was so mad, I burst into tears and cried for about an hour....Just a vent no need to respond.

Try the rice anyways. Take it completely apart first, then put the parts in.
You should REALLY get insurance on your phone. I got insurance on my phone so no matter what the kids do to it, I can get a new one if need-be.

For some reason that I can't understand, my husband refuses to have insurance on my phone.

My DD threw my phone in the bathtub a few months ago. I turned it off and left it in a baggie with rice for 24 hours. It works just fine, except the volume which comes in and out, but even that is happening less frequently. Oh I should mention its an iphone.

Well then, if he refuses to get you insurance, he can figure out how to get you a new one!

Maybe you could check ebay for some used phones to get you by?

Put it in rice and leave it in there for 24 hours. DO NOT try to turn it on.
