I noticed last night that I had this hard, slightly painful bump on my vagina. It's like, just to the outside of my labia, near my clitoris. It is like a small pebble under the skin! IDK wtf this is! I am really worried though. Any ideas?!

I'm thinking a Bartholin's cyst

I'm not sure.. I have one too a little further back. It doesn't hurt. It's like pea sized, maybe smaller. It's been there for a few weeks. I guess I should go get it checked out.

Could be just an ingrown hair

What is that?! And will it go away or do I need to see my doctor?

I do not have hair there. I thought the same thing at first

I get them occasionally. The Bartholin gland supply some external lubrication for the vagina. They can sometimes get blocked. Try sitz bath in hot water with Epsom salts. I will try to find a link.

I went to the doctor when I got one the first time. I thought I had an STD, it wasn't. I did the home remedies because that was what my gyno recommended. It IS NOT and STD, a virgin can get them.

LOL I was kind of flipping out about the STD thing! I've only been with one person for two years now though, and have been tested multiple times (just had a baby, so had a full work up done during and after my pregnancy!)

I know, my first reaction too. Unfortunetely. only 2% of women get these. I'm one of them :-( It helps to get a washcloth wet with super hot water to wash yourself after sex if you can do a quick sitz bath in hot water after sex. Rough sex can be a trigger too. Sometimes it just can happen too. It doesn't mean you have bad hygiene either. I have a VERY reassuring gyno. I have only had them 2 times ever. The first one was after an amazing weekend with my boyfriend and that was why I though STD and freaked out. The second time just randomly showed up. They are a nuisance

We haven't even really been having sex lol. I think I will probably call my ob/gyn in the morning just to be safe. That way I can know for sure, and if it is I will definitely try the sitz bath and hot wash cloth. I clean myself VERY well everyday, which is why I flipped out so much when I found this lol!

Yes, go see the doc. It helps to know exactly what is going on, especially when it's the first time you get one. Good luck!
