SO took the kids to the park. He had our son on his shoulders (he's 6'3) and our son fell off backwards onto the cement. He brought the kids home and told me what happened and I told him to take him to the ER or urgent care. That's such a high drop onto cement and I'm really worried. :(

Did you have him ice it?

I know it's scary, but I think you did the right thing

Kids are pretty tough, but its always best to be safe

Try not to worry to much:(

Yeah, he needs to get checked out. Even if he seems fine, that's a FAR drop.

I wouldn't take him to the ER unless he hit his head, hard or something. I've fallen off my dad's shoulder's when I was little, never hit my head though. It was always my back or my arm.

Did he hit his head? If so, get him to the ER. If not, he'll probably be fine but check for bruising and swelling.

He's only 3 1/2 and he said his head hurt. Better safe then sorry...

Which is why I said, unless he hurt his head I wouldn't take him to the ER. I hope he's okay.

The nurse practitioner said that he wasn't showing any signs of a concussion. SO said he'd still like to get the imaging done (not sure what all that includes) so I'll update after I hear back about that. I just don't always trust them lol my son has never said he feels sick in his mouth before...
