Infected belly button? Michayla08 18 kids; California 989 posts

Hi ladies,

I just noticed that DS's belly button is a bit red with crusty yellow/brown stuff on it. I cleaned it out of course. Could he have some sort of infection on it? He's 4 months old and his umbilical cord healed perfectly after it fell off when he was like a week old. Do you think me switching diapers could have anything to do with it since they tend to rub against it? Thanks!

clean it with peroxide and put his diapers below his belly button so it can heal.
