I feel so accomplished. I "graduated" with my GED the same year I would have graduated HS. I feel like I would love to throw a graduation party, although I think people may look down on it. I wanna celebrate what I did, I'm excited!

Would you go to a GED grad party?
and um stupid question, but what would you put on an invite?

I feel weird having one, but hey I think I deserve it. I also am enrolled in a pharmacy tech class to start off my career. ;) Ah im so excited for my future.

I personally wouldn't have one until you get your pharmacy tech degree or cert.

I don't see why not. A GED is an accomplishment and you can celebrate your accomplishments if you feel like it.

It's good that you got it and it is an accomplishment, but no, a party sounds silly to me... Just being honest, but a GED isn't something other people would be excited about. For YOU, that is great and it's good you got it, I got mine too, but it's honestly NBD to anyone else... Not trying to take away your excitement, but... eh... it's just a GED.... :( Sorry to say it that way but it's the truth. But you should be proud of yourself. Just don't expect anyone else to be impressed.

That's almost a year away though. I feel left out not getting a grad party for having a baby lol. :(

Girl, celebrate! Congratulations! It is definitely an accomplishment that deserves a celebration.

JMO, but I think a high school diploma is worth more than a GED. I could see having a party for graduation, but not getting a GED.

Well, that's what happens. Having a baby is a sacrifice and it's just one of those things if you have them as a teen. But hey, if you think people will come, go for it. I'm just saying, don't be surprised if nobody really cares, KWIM? Maybe just a family party? I wouldn't call it a graduation party though.

thank you :) I have no idea how to go about making an invite, though. It is mainly just for family, but my family is kind of stuck up&I don't want to look stupid to them, like always ha

A GED is the equivalent to a high school diploma which is why you can get into college with both.

I'd call the event something like "Reached my first academic goal" party or maybe "I can go to college now" party.

Well then I don't see how one is worth more if they are basically the same thing. She should be proud of herself for having one of the two.
