How much spare money a week do you have for Groceries, necessities, entertainment, etc. after bills?
We have around 300 a week and I just feel like we're always struggling. I've tried to cut down on senseless spending but it just seems to be getting worse. Ugh!
I'm in the same boat. I can't figure out where all the money goes. We only have about 700 a month in set bills and about 2200 take home pay and there's never much left over. I don't get it
After bills? We have like 75.00 a week on groceries.. 40 dollars a week for gas.
That's about it.
DH makes about $500/week. Our budget is:
Medical bills: $105
Savings: $100/month minimum
Things are kind of tight right now but in the fall he'll be making about $600/week and winter, around $700
I rarely have any money left. I get paid twice a month & my checks beyond suck. I pay my phone bill, house bills, buy some food, the boys and outfit apiece every time I get paid, put gas in both cars & have money to eat while at work when we start getting low on groceries. I have $21 left to last me until May 25th. I also just opened a checking/savings account & I was thinking about doing the 52 week challenge.

This is about where we are at too.
We have about 800$ extra a week
Before I went part time with this pregnancy I had 3100 in income between work and child support. My bills average about $1225 a month. That includes gas for work commutes and groceries. Leaving $1875 extra a month.. For what? A bunch of bullshit. I am living on minimal income right now and it really shows me how much I wasted before. Hope to have a much tighter reign on my checkbook when I go back to work!
There's supposed to be be money left over?!
But seriously, not much. We're in a hole right now but are slowly digging our way out. But we have no credit cards or credit card debt so we're proud of that
SO makes approx $600/week (average) take home pay, and I roughly make $200-$300/week in tips - our monthly bills, not including food or gas or my student loans are $2200 (total of 3200 take home pay) about $90/week for both cars total in gas, and about $60-$70 a week on groceries so there's about $400-$500 extra at the end of the month and hell if I know where it goes!? I've been paying a lot extra on credit cards to get them paid off... This fall my income will reduce but our expenses will as well (should have two credit cards paid off then)

We have to pay 200 a month for a loan and 75 in credit cards. I hate hate hate that loan! We still have 3500 left on it! Ugh
We make about $7000 take home each month.
We pay our bills which come to about $1700 per month.
Groceries are about $350 per month, leaving us with $4950 per month.
$1500 goes into general savings.
$1500 goes into emergency fund.
$500 goes into education fund.
$750 goes into my maternity leave top up fund.
The remaining is split between our accounts for gas, entertainment, etc.

you'd be surprised how quick the money goes away, especially when you're saving or paying off large debts. My ex and I brought home about that much combined, seeing it on paper seemed like a lot, but it sure didn't feel like it. haha "mo' money, mo' problems".. or mo' taxes at least.
