Any Mamas have this done? I am trying to lose weight but have some health conditions that are making it almost impossible to lose weight no matter how hard I try. I am scared, but want to look into it. I really want to try to have another baby in the future, but with the exttra weight making my PCOS worse, it doesn't look promising. Has anyone had it done then been able to successfully conceive?

I work for a bariatric surgeon. Many women get pregnant very easily after weight loss surgery. We have all of our women patients sign a waiver saying they will not knowingly get pregnant within the first 18 months post surgery. (Due to malnutrition issues) First step would be to check with your insurance company to make sure they cover the procedure and to ask for surgeons in your area who take it. Good luck.

I have Medicaid. It will be covered since it is exacerbating other conditions such as PCOS and my back. I would be looking to get it done in about 1 1/2 years (I'm still breastfeeding) and would ttc 5-6 years after that (so I can finish school)
