This is what I do. Cold water in the sink for about an hour or so.

we always put it out on the counter, I have ground beef thawing out now like that

Say you were going out for a few hours, would you leave it on the counter? Would you leave it on the counter during the summer?

I always do when I remeber to take it out in the am. and always have and so did my parents and everyone else I know leaves it on the counter for the day. Even when I go out, I dont see why being home or out makes a difference. lol

I would leave it several hours until its almost thawed. Yes during the summer too but it isn't hot in there i have the AC on. Also we don't do that if we aren't at home to check on it every once in a while.

We don't have central AC anymore so I prob won't test that out until the fall. I used to use the counter, IDK why I stopped.
