IDK if I would even bother telling her I wasn't gonna show. Some people need extreme examples to realize how their actions affect others. So, you tell your friends (guests) whats up, they decide whether or not to go get a plate of fruit and chips, maybe win a prize. All the while knowing 'Amy won't be here, but we have a place to drop off the stuff we wanted to get her, and this person we don't really know will deliver the stuff to her.' The planner does a bunch of work, fretting over stupid shit to keep up appearances, while ending with a life lesson in how to treat people. Esp. pregnant people and their family. You, meanwhile are curled up with your lil boy, chilling with some chinese takeout chuckling to yourself.

Man that bites :( I'm sorry.

I think I like you :D

They all know her so that's not a big deal. I'm sure she'd love being the one the attention is focused on.

Hah I just had an idea... If I haven't had her by then I may go to the hospital thinking I'm in labor instead of going to the party :D

 There's no way she could object to that. Maybe she'll realize, too, how ridiculous it is to have a shower that close to your due date!

Yeah, I think the feeling is mutual. Just never on when you are! You don't think she'd show up at the hospital trying to 'party' do you? I mean, you did say she still doesn't have a venue? Call me crazy, but I know people who would pull some shit like that.

He had a night job the ENTIRE time I was pregnant with Zeke so he went to every appointment except 2 towards the end due to a new job. He works 8-5 everyday now so it will be different but not impossible to get through. I just kinda dread taking Zeke to that many appointments because he's going through a loud phase where he says 1 of the 3 words he knows or continuously says mama lol

She JUST confirmed one about 2 hours ago.. When she yelled at me on facebook about having the "wrong" date, which I just said the date she told me 2 days ago. And she wouldn't show up there because she'd be too busy. When she had a party for my son when he was 3 months there were over 30 people so I don't think she'd try to bring that to the hospital. She'd just go about it like I was there and she'd open the gifts.

Fortunately Jason always has had weekdays off so we always schedule it for those days. I couldn't deal with Rory during one that's for sure.

She would OPEN your gifts??? Are you kidding me? If I gave you a gift and found out she would open it, I would just take it in a Wal-Mart bag. Even- especially- if it didn't come from Wal-Mart.

YUP! She would. Her excuse would be so everyone else could see what we got.

I got an awesome mom....

I don't want to! My father in law though (who I adore!) is saying that we need to be the better people :(
