Ok, so this morning I am looking VERY low and have been crampy on and off. With my first I was ten days overdue and had to be induced. I NEVER had a contraction on my own and when I went in for my induction I was completely closed and thick. I am fully aware that I have like 16 days to go, but I have a serious fear of going overdue again and having to be induced. So, I am wondering if these period like cramps are a sign that things are beginning to happen (even if labor is not going to happen tomorrow)? I am about to go on a long ass walk, and see what happens after that. I just have no idea what real labor feels like, or how it feels in the beginning.
I remember my first contraction feeling like an awful period like cramp. The biggest way I knew it was labour and not random pain was the way it seemed to start in my back and wrap around the inside of my hips and into my belly - like a big, painful, internal hug.
If it starts in your back instead of being only in your stomach, if there seems to be a pattern/rhythm to the timing, and if they get stronger, then they might be real.
They defiantly were NOT real. It seems like every other day I get these very intense bh in the morning and then at night, but nothing real yet :(. Sometimes they go around to my back, but its more like down into my rectum, and not so much the "back" per say. Plus my doctors are no help, because anytime I ask a question, I get "well, that is not uncommon" and nothing else. With the end of this pregnancy, I feel like it is my first because it is so much different from my pregnancy with my 1st.
Quoting Historymomma:" [snip!] ... With the end of this pregnancy, I feel like it is my first because it is so much different from my pregnancy with my 1st."
I'm with you there - I don't recall ever feeling this much pain and discomfort at the end of my first pregnancy. Not long left for you now - good luck!! :D
