I was Diagnosed today with PCOS.
I know a little about it from the briefing with the DR and also what I've read online. For those with PCOS how long did it take you to conceive? did you need the help of meds?

They Gave me metformin and sent me to a Nutritionist to maybe help by changing my diet and lose some weight.

Metformin may help you ovulate and loose weight.
I did a lot of research of PCOS because my mom and sister had/have it. And I thought I did too.

Once I lost about 30 lbs.... I wasnt on medications or anything.

I lost the weight, got into a relationship, and conceived 4 months later. I heard great things about metformin though. I hope it all works out! If not, they can prescribe you Clomid.

soulcysters.com is a great forum and those ladies have a lot of great advise, support, and different methods you can try.

I have PCOS I conceived 2x without help, once on accident while NTNP. And once while trying! I got my BFP within 6 weeks of ending my BC. I am also very overweight. Hopefully the metformin helps with everything!

I've gotten pregnant a total of three times all spaced 5-7 years apart. Didn't know I had PCOS until this past year after losing my last baby. We've been ttc since Jan 2012. I'm on vitex right now and so far it's helping regulate my cycles. I'm hoping to not have to go on any other meds. I do have a bottle of metformin but I haven't taken it. I am also taking Slim Vie right now to see if I can lose some weight.

Thanks ladies.

I hate how I'm taking this but I can't help it. People just don't seem to understand me. Everyone says just be happy you have one, and I am I'm so thankful for her but I've wanted nothing more than to grow our family and give her a sibling. I've always dreamt of having my kids 2 years apart and not being able to control that just sucks. I've been really depressed about it and I know it's stupid but I just wanna cry. I had always assumed that since DD took no time at all to conceive I was just Fertile Myrtle and when we were ready for another it would happen right away.
I'm trying oh so hard to get into better shape though and eating so much better already I'm just praying I stick with it

It only took us 2 months to get pregnant with the baby I lost. Since then nothing. Everyone says the same to me. To just relax and it'll happen when we stop trying. I'm tired of hearing it.
