Scared, not sure what to do! Autumn_Mlls Due June 8 (girl); Mason, Michigan 6 posts

The past week or so I have been leaking a clear-water like substance that is actually coming from the vagina. I have lost part if not all of my mucus plug (I think, it was brownish-red), I have had cramps here and there but when I told my OB about it she blew it all off like I was crazy. I didn't even get checked to see if I was dilated. I have had the feeling this week that I need to just have my baby girl soon. My tummy has felt weird (not in a bad way) just weird. It hurts to lay on my sides or my back. And I'm 37 weeks today. I'm not sure what to do currently.

Drink more water. Discharge can increase at the end of pg. you don't need to be checked. It can actually introduce bacteria to the womb. The end of PG isn't fun, but the last few weeks are really needed for babies lung development.

Like the other poster said, drink more water. And the end of pregnancy discharge can get ridiculous. I'd you're worried about leaking fluid though, put on a pad, lay down for like 30 minutes and stand up. If you feel a gush and the pad is filled go to L&D and they'll check if its your fluid or not.

I feel like I have been drinking the ocean this past week. And every time any fluid comes out of me it's anywhere from a dime sized to a quarter sized amount. And that's between every time I use the bathroom through the day. I told my OB that and she said "as long as you're not soaking an entire pad it's ok" while looking at me like I was stupid... Which hasn't helped the situation. There was one time I was sitting on the toilet and got done wiping and then felt some of the fluid come out of me and trickle into the toilet but it wasn't a lot at all. My husband keeps telling me she will be here soon and it's up to me if I want to go in but I don't know if I do, because I don't want to look ridiculous if it happens to be nothing

I'm 33 weeks today and the discharge really does get out of control. Between that, and the peeing myself every time I cough, laugh, or sneeze, I am constantly changing liners....it's kind of funny for me, because this is the only pregnancy where I've gotten the really "fun" third trimester symptoms. My feet are actually swelling if I stand too long(I was on bed rest with my 2nd and 3rd babies, and it never happened with my first, so this is new to me LOL). I'm slowly losing mucous plug, too...despite one episode of preterm labor, this is still my most 'typical' pregnancy.

A dime to a quarter sized amount is nothing. You will know if your water breaks or you have real contractions. Just take these last few weeks to relax. You may go tomorrow but you may have 4more weeks. It's all up to your baby at this point.

My OB had put me bed rest at about 30 weeks. But said it wasn't typical bed rest where some women can't or shouldn't do anything, I just had to stay relaxed for awhile to make sure my blood pressure was actually normal and not high. But I wasn't worried about that this stuff though, I feel worried but it doesn't feel like a bad worried. It's hard to explain and sometimes I just feel crazy

Your OB is right. Unless you're soaking a pad, it's most likely not your waters.

Monitor baby's movements. There's no reason for you to go in now.

Well come to find out when I felt that something wasn't right, I was right! I went to the hospital last night and they tested me and found protein in my urine and said it could be that start of preaclympsia but that I shouldn't worry because right now there's not much risk for the baby as they just caught it. They sent me home with a 24hr urine catch to do to bring back Wednesday, if it comes out positive they said we will talk about inducing either that day or towards the end of the week. They checked me as well and found within 2 day after losing my mucus plug I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Before I left they told me that either way I should be having my baby girl by this weekend. I feel a lot better now that I know what was going on. Also, when I was there I was contractions 15 mins apart but they said they weren't strong enough to do too much currently
