Hospital bag and baby supplies LayLu (girl); 17 kids; Virginia 4007 posts

My LO will be here any day now, I just packed my hospital bag last night but I feel like I have so much missing. I packed..

An outfit for baby including socks (one NB and one 0-3 incase she's a fatty)
Diapers and wipes (I know I don't really need these.. but just in case!)
A little blankie for her
A pair of comfortable pajama pants for me
A comfortable tanktop
Two pairs of socks and underwear (should I bring more?)
Slippers
And I know I'll want my laptop, laptop charger, phone, phone charger and toiletries.. I'll put those in there as we get closer, I don't have any travel-sized stuff to toss in there right now and I only have one laptop charger and phone charger. Am I missing anything? What were some things you absolutely needed when you were in the hospital?

As far as baby supplies go.. I think I'm pretty much set, but I'm worried there's something I'll need later on and won't have. So far I've got..

Crib, crib set, extra sheets
Diapers and wipes (ranging from NB to size 4, all different brands)
A ton of clothes and socks (ranging from NB to 24 months)
A ton of fuzzy blankets, burp cloths, wash cloths and two hooded towels
A bathtub (NB to infant)
Changing table
Random stuffed animals
Boppy pillow
Diaper bag
A ton of baby toiletries
About eight binkies
About ten bottles (I plan on breastfeeding.. don't have a pump yet though)
Bottle and binkie sterilizer
Carseat, stroller, high chair, pack-n-play, bouncer
A bunch of bibs and bottle brushes
Sound machine
I think that's everything.. was there anything you could not live without when your LO first got here that I don't have? Sorry for the long ass post, I'm a paranoid mama-to-be!

I brought my favorite pillow from home and my boppy for the baby. I also brought an outfit for hospital pictures.

I don't think I even wore socks while at the hospital, and in the hallway I used their slipper socks. And I didn't want to bleed on my underwear or jammies so I wore theirs and I bled through a few times.
You definitely don't need diapers or wipes, they even gave extra packs to take home.
Boppy.
Camera.
Snacks.
Cash for guest trays and snack machines.

Quoting ThreeLittleBirds:" I brought my favorite pillow from home and my boppy for the baby. I also brought an outfit for hospital pictures."

Good to know I'm not the only one that brings my own pillow. I always feel like the hospital ones smell funny and aren't fluffy enough. Last time around I also took my body pillow to keep between my knees in case I got to rest. I ended up sleeping with it after he was born...

OP- If you're planning to breastfeed it might also be a good idea to pick up:
some Lanolin or other sort of nipple cream
Gentian Violet in case of thrush
And if you're gonna get a pump, don't forget to get milk storage bags

I would bring a few pairs of bottoms for you to wear after delivery. It's very easy for you to bleed on them so you don't want to be stuck without anything else to change into.
I would also make sure you have hair ties and chap stick. Money for vending machines.

Thanks ladies! I completely forgot about the pillow and vending machine money, those are good ones to remember. And nipple cream is a good idea.. I'm sure they're going to be hurting. :? Not looking forward to that part.
