So!!!! I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and my friend just gave birth to her first yesterday and let me be in there & maybe I shouldn't have! Her epi didn't work, it only took one side and than baby started laying on her nerve.. & she SCREAMED the whole time!!! Pushed almost 4 hours she said the pain from her nerve was worse than the contractions. Let me just say im freaking horrified now lol This is my 2nd I had my first within 20 minutes of pushing, but he was 4lbs 12oz (8 wks early) Idk if that made a diff or not.. but yeah I need to hear some good labor stories to get myself out of this funk.. cuz labor is right around the corner for me. -Sigh!

well, my second baby was much bigger than my first (he was 8 lbs 7 oz) and his labor was easy peasy.

it was only an hour long, and I had no time for an epi or any drugs, but popped him out and wasn't even tired.

My coworkers tease me still because I emailed them 15 minutes after he was born to tell them i wouldn't be at work that day. :) I was just in GO mode.

The day after I was due my water broke. Had super mild contractions. I could feel them but no pain. I ate dinner and went to l&d. They confirmed my water broke. Hooked me up to monitor contractions because I could barely feel them even though they were pretty close together. Just as they started to hurt I got my epi. Instant relief. Slept for a few hours, woke up and pushed for a bit and he was out. Just needed three tiny stitches :)

It was nice but shocking. I was only at the hospital 20 minutes before he was born. poor guy needed some extra help at first, they didn't put him on my chest right away because he was stunned which I guess is common in babies with lightning fast births.

It was like....whoa.... that's over? really??

Lol you and I literally had the same labor. Except I had painful contractions for three hours before I got the epi, and the whole time it was never so bad that I was nasty to SO or anything. He, my mom and I were high fiving and loving each other a lot. It was really a beautiful experience

I'd rather go through labor again than pregnancy!

For my 1st labor I woke up to my water breaking. I was laughing n feeling great until 15mins later my contractions went from 0 to 10. The ambulance came n my baby boy was born 15mins later in the ambulance. For me 15mins of pain is just fine. 2nd one was almost the but he was born within 40mins n at the hospital. No meds for either. Good luck :-)

I had two awesome births!

With my first I found out I was 3 cm dilated at 35 weeks 5 days. I hadnt felt a single contraction.

3 nights later at 11:45 pm I felt my first contraction ever. It was painless but strong and came with a ton of pressure. They were coming at two minutes apart so my husband talked me into making a trip to L&D.

We arrived, still not in pain, and was finally checked around 1 am. No one including myself thought that I was in labor. So we were shocked to find I was almost 8 cm!!

Things moved super fast after that. They quickly started an iv for antibiotics and drew some blood. I wanted an epidural but they had to test my platelets. I was able to get it but was 10 cm so they couldnt do it!!

By this point I was handling contractions by hyperventilating. The pressure was insane and baby's head was partway pit with the still intact bag of waters. We were waiting for my midwife who was stuck in traffic because of the snowstorm!

She finally arrived and with the first pish my water burst everywhere. Then three pushes later she held up our first team green baby and I yelled "ITS A BOY!!!"

Tate Millan K. was born healthy at 36+2. He was 6 lbs 1oz.

With our second baby I was checked for dilation and found to be 5 cm with a bulging bag at 36+2. We talked things over and decided it would be safest to induce the next day. So I was kept over night for antibiotics.

Finally at 2:10 pm the next day my water was broken. Cobtractions started immediately. I was given a tiny bit of pit due to low platekets.

I handled contractions with ease by deel breathing. I felt no pain.

It didnt take to long and then, after 3 pushes, our second team green baby was placed on my chest.

We really really wanted a girl but I just knew I would never be lucky enough to have one of each.

So I looked down and........

THE CORD WAS IN THE WAY!

lol so I yelled out "WHAT DID I GET???!!"

And everyone laughed. Then I cried my eyes out when she said we hsd a beautiful baby girl!!

Bo Delainie K. was born healthy at 36+3. She was a tiny 5 lbs 3 oz.

They are 4 and 2 now and still perfect!

All of my children were born naturally and all under 5 pushes. DD labor was the longest 21 hours but only 2 pushes, she was 7lbs 2oz.. DS1 6 hour labor with 5 pushes he was 8lbs 8oz I was 4cm for 3+ weeks before he was born. DS2 was one hour of labor and 4 pushes, 8lbs 10oz. I was actually able to catch DS1, it was amazing!
