I'm making arroz con gandules
Rice with chickpeas
And fried pork chops with a salad on the side
I'm so excited to eat the house smells yummy. I'm Puerto Rican and Cuban so I cook a lot of different foods. I haven't had my pr rice in for ever though.

Any one else know how to cook this and if so how do you make and where did you learn it from. My grandmother showed me.

The sweet ones or the Olin green ones?
If your taking about the sweet ones omg if you haven't had them with scrabbled eggs your missing out its so good.

Also if you make the sweet ones those are the yellowish ones make some ground beef on the side fri the bananas then get cheese make it like it in a cake pan lay down the bananas add some ground beef then cheese and do about o2 layers of it and brush on so eggs on the top throw in oven for 350 for 10 minutes and a side of white rice yumm

I have lots of Puerto Rican friends, I've eaten my share of arroz con gandules. I don't make it though, since we're Cuban. I make a mean ropa vieja and delicious pollo empanizado though
