To use a crib bumper or not? I used one with my first and had no problems but since then have had allot of friends have babies who didn't use them so just wondering what other ladies thought?

I put DD's crib bumper in after she got her foot stuck in between the slats, she was about 5 months old.

I did with DS and had no issues. I got mesh ones for LO and they're great. I will have to remove them soon though because he's trying to climb.

I used them with both my kids(now 9 & 13 years old) and never had an issue so I chose yes. I've heard recently they aren't safe so I'm undecided about weather or not to use one.

Yeah, I got a mesh one because I didn't want her to get stuck in the slats but I wanted her to be able to breathe if she pressed her face up against it.

Im not thinking a breathable bumper will work for the crib I have..I have a changing table attached to my crib and the breathables are put in by weaving it at the four ends :(

I have a crib with a changing table attached. We just overlapped the ends on the big sides since you can't put it across the bottom. I can try to post a pic tomorrow if you want.

No prob. I'd do it tonight but he's asleep and my iPad camera has no flash. It took me a minute to figure it out lol when I got it out of the package I was like really :? But we made it work.

We got a Simply Baby one from Wal-Mart because it came in four pieces instead of one long one that you wrap all the way around. Because our crib has solid ends, so I was able to just put the bumper on the two slatted sides and put the other pieces away. Plus, it was only like $10.
