I just buy a cheap pair for $5-$10 and then change them up. I made batman, Spider-Man, hulk and a couple other shoes/clutches. I just like having them in my collection.

Nope :? We have a WalMart and a GoodWill within walking distance and the shoes at WalMart are too expensive to make into a project...

This seems like it would be easy and fun...could do them in green and blue for Bugs room
teen-decor-woolen-chandeliers.jpgMaterials:

  • Balloons
  • Craft glue
  • Cornflour
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rod or pole for hanging (curtain rod hanging between two stools works well)
  • Scissors
  • Vaseline
  • Wool

Instructions:

  1. Blow up balloons to various sizes (only blow to half-capacity if you wish to achieve a circular shape).
  2. Place a rod or pole between two chairs/stools to create a DIY drying station. Place a plastic rubbish bag or disposable plastic tablecloth underneath as a drip floor.
  3. Attach balloons to the rod.
  4. Tie wool around the stem of the balloon and allow the remainder of the wool to hang down. Make sure the balloon is suspended and not touching the surrounding balloons.
  5. Cover each balloon lightly in Vaseline (so that the wool does not stick to the balloon once it is dried and popped).
  6. Mix half a bottle of craft glue with roughly 1/2 cup of cornflour and 1/4 cup of water.
  7. Dip the wool into the glue mixture, squeeze out excess and begin wrapping around the balloon vertically and then switch to horizontally. Once you have covered a good part of your balloon, cut the yarn and tie off to a surrounding piece. Ideally, do this near the stem of the balloon so it won

I made them for my son's 2nd birthday party. They were easy to do but messy.

I totally forgot to hang them up before his party though lol

And Pinterest is super easy to navigate. It's well worth it to sit and figure it out IMO. There's so much good stuff on there
