Has anyone done this? I was told that it will make it longer and harder so I wanted to know what to expect?

Some states don't allow it.

I don't know about it being harder and longer but with any kids, a divorce will take some time, I suppose.

Some states wont allow it, they wont bastardize a child.

Probably the only thing that would cause a divorce to drag out is you or him constesting the terms.

I have no idea why pregnancy would prolong it.

Yes. I used to live in Colorado and babysat for a lady who had to stay married until the baby was born.

That's rough. :( I'm sure it's frustrating on both ends.

I have a friend who was trying to get divorced during her pregnancy and the judge postponed it. He wouldn't move forward until she had the baby and now they are going through the paternity testing phase.

Well you can still be seperated. Just have to wait it out.

oh geeze. i guess it makes sense. but we both just want it done and over without the support alimony or any extra stuff. and was told we would have to establish a parenting plan I just don't see how that's logical with a newborn.
