i have always crate trained my dogs

this puppy likes to be in her crate, she will nap in there and go in and out willingly. BUT she also likes to pee in there.. she will walk in, squat and walk out

First of all, she is SOOOO stinking cute!

Second, is her crate a large size? If so you need to get her a smaller one. If you have a big one they will be more likely to use the bathroom in it. Not sure why, but I've had that issue before and getting a smaller crate was recommended until the pup was trained. If it is a smaller crate, try feeding her in there. Dogs tend to refuse to poop and pee where they eat. :) Good luck. Puppy training is so hard, but worth it when they are massive dogs. :)

Well poop. Try feeding her in there, maybe she will figure out it's not for peeing or pooping. Girls don't tend to mark, it's possible but unlikely, so I wouldn't think it's that. Sounds like typical puppy shenanigans.

LOL! Every time someone says "little shit" I think of my aunt. She used to call us and the dogs "Little Shit Asses" when we did something wrong. LOL! I still laugh to this day when she calls her dog that. She is the nicest lady and laughs when she says it, maybe that's why it's so funny.

But yeah, my current dog was easy to train. She is a rescue so most of it was done for us. My brother's dog, who I had while my brother was over seas, is a total jerk face. He is a 130lb Great Dane who thought it perfectly fine to be outside playing for hours, and to come in my house and run around with a steady stream of pee. There were times when I'd be walking them and someone offered to buy him, I thought about selling him. LOL! Other than his peeing and barking all the freaking time he is a great dog, but those two things drove me nuts. And sadly, I will be getting him back just before my brother's wedding and they won't get him back until they are moved. >.< Damn me for being an animal lover with a fenced in back yard. LOL!

Anywho, I hope she gets better about her peeing and pooping. Try a squirt bottle when she potties, as soon as you see it, point it out to her, say "NO!" sternly and spray her. Works for the Great Dane. He goes and pouts in his bed. :)

Oh he is a giant baby. Water bottle works really well. :)
