For labor? I didn't go to triage. Went to my room.

Quoting jennifer8:" how long were you in triage before you got a room"

I went to the hospital twice. I went once in early labor because my contractions were 8 minutes apart... I was sent home because they weren't 1 minute or longer. I was there for over an hour the first time.
I went home and bam 45 minutes later my water broke. I was there for like maybe 20-30 minutes and transfered to my room.

i delivered in the triage room because our OB wing was full. lol. mind you, the triage room looks almost identical to a birthing suite.

I went to the desk, told them what was going on, that the doc was expecting me since I'd already called, and as soon as the paperwork was ready, I was on my way up. So maybe 10 minutes from walking in to getting into the bed in the room.

Here you go to the desk, register that you're there, and go right up to maternity. If the birthing rooms are full (we're a pretty small town with a pretty good sized hospital so they're not usually full) then you go to a laboring room. No triage room needed :)
