I would have been 11 weeks today. I went in for an ultrasound and was told that the baby had stopped developing at 9 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I thought something was wrong and had some light spotting over the weekend but wasn't cramping or clotting. My doctor highly suggested I have a D&C. I'm mostly curious about experiences with it and your cost before insurance. From what I gathered, it's almost the cost of actually delivering a baby.

I'm sorry for your loss :(

I just had a D&C in Feb and the insurance refused to pay for it. Between the labs, anesthesia, and Dr/hospital bills I had to pay $2647.10 out of pocket. My Dr's office said if the insurance hadn't refused I would've only had to pay about $600 to them and then 10% of the labs and anesthesia. Either way you need to have the procedure if it hasn't passed so that you don't get sick :( If you need to ask if they have a payment plan to help you afford it.

Sorry again :(

My first pregnancy ended the same way. My bsby stopped developing at 7 weeks. I chose the d&c and had no issues. I bled like a normal period and had no pain or cramping. Before insurance it was like 12000.
