If you didn't find out the sex of your baby until birth what did you do about clothes? Did you buy a bunch of neutral clothes for the first few weeks? Did you buy a few outfits for each sex and then return what you didn't need and buy more of what you did? I don't know what to do.. lol.

We are going to buy a neutral car seat and we aren't gonna buy crib bedding and stuff for the nursery cause the baby will sleep with us or in a bassinet and then in a crib in our room for the first year ish.

I can't not buy SOME clothes, I need something for he/she to wear home from the hospital. lol

I'd would just buy a few "neutral" outfits and then go shopping after the baby is born.

Buy yellow :) and some light shades of blue. If its a girl just use the blue stuff but stick a bow on her head. Problem solved :)

we bought a boy outfit and girl outfit to bring the baby home in. Thats ALL. I refuse to dress my baby in neutral colors, boy or girl. Cause everyone is going to constantly ask if its a boy or girl. We are planning on getting a few white onsies to pass the time till we can go and get the baby a wardrobe and crib bedding. We bought everything else neutral.

Says that girl Elliot's mom.... I'm totally kidding. We had a neutral nursery 5 years ago, we did classic Winnie the Pooh and bought yellows, greens, and pale blues. And then stopped to buy some more on the way home. Secretly we had stocked up on some boy stuff because we had a strong feeling he was a boy. We were right.

Buy a few things in each gender from like carters and when you know exchange the opposite outfits for the ones you need :)

First time, bought all boy clothes. ( Thought he'd be a boy, turns out I was right..and I dislike pink and girly any way).

This time though I have three draws (tiny ones though, only to fit a little of each). 1. Girls clothes, 2. Neutral clothes, and 3. Boys clothes. (I will be taking my favorites to the hospital with me from each). I am also getting gift cards so I can buy everything else closer/after (especially big things, desperate for a better pram!) and this way won't have to stress too much about money...though I do any way...the pram I want is quite pricey. My partner thinks I have expensive tastes, because I mentioned my love for high end baby clothes...but, can't I want the best for them? :) I think I can.

I know, it just sounded cute saying to buy blue and then seeing Elliot in pink  I had to say it.

That's probably what we'll do. I just don't know what or how much to buy. I'm not gonna wanna go shopping for at least a few days after I have the baby so I want to have enough for those few days.

Oh and what about a boppy? Should I just buy one I like or should I stay away from the obviously girly/boyish ones and get one that could be either?

I already have 2 girls so i have everything for a girl. Last time i didnt buy anything just pulled out all the gender neutral stuff i did have and it ended up being another girl so i used it all. This time i have a pile of girl stuff, and i bought like 8 used sleepers($7) and 4 new outfits($30) and i have those set aside. If its a girl again ill be set if its a boy i have enough clothes to last me for the first week or so so that i dont have to leave the house if i dont want to.
