Sooo I have the paragard IUD, my period usually lasts 3-5 days. Well I had a normal period that ended about a week and a half ago. Every single time I've had sex since them (3-4 times) I've bled bright red blood. TMI but enough to be all over me and all over him. I have no idea what could be causing it... And it's only while I'm having sex, afterwards I don't bleed at all and I don't bleed at all the next day either.

Could my IUD be misplaced and him hitting it causing me to bleed? Really weird I think I'm going to call my gyno tomorrow.

I would definitely go get it checked to be on the safe side. I had that damn thing for 5 months and I spent the whole entire time bleeding nonstop. I was pissed when I finally had to have it removed since it was pretty much my only option for birth control.

Could be the IUD, or could be irritation to your cervix from something. That's the only thing I could think of.

What could be causing irritation to my cervix? I've had the IUD for a year with no problems and I've never bled during sex before ever in my life (unless I was on my period).

I have heard of women building up scar tissue around the iud (that's why my doctor advised me not to get one unless I'm "pretty sure" I'm done having kids, as it can make getting pregnant more difficult in the future) maybe I youve built up scar tissue on your cervix, that's what's getting irritated?? Idk? Or possibly it moved?!

I honestly don't know what could be causing it... but if he gets too rough it can cause some irritation in the tissue on and around your cervix.
