I'm a preschool teacher and there is one little girl in my class, who is 1, who suffers badly from eczema. From what I know about milk, the protein casein can cause it and I know she gets a lot of milk both at home and at school from other teachers. Pretty much every time she cries someone sticks a milk bottle in her mouth...
I don't know much about what kind of milk to give a one-year-old other than the fact it has to be whole milk, so are there any casein-free options for a one-year-old? I've tried googling it but I find nothing.
FYI, not going to change her diet or do anything whatsoever... I just want to give her parents all the info I can before suggesting they speak to a pedi!!
There can be other causes for it. But before you change anything in her diet I would discuss things with her parents first.
Quoting White Chocolate Milk:" There can be other causes for it. But before you change anything in her diet I would discuss things with her parents first."
