DD's last dentist appointment was 9 months ago, her teeth were perfect. I noticed a bit ago a dark spot on the front of her front tooth. I'm pretty sure it's a cavity. She must not of gotten lucky and gotten my strong teeth. We brush her teeth everyday since the day she got her first tooth
I made her a dentist appointment, but does anyone know what I can expect to happen? Do they even fill cavities in at this young age, since they just fall out later?

I think they cap them but I don't know... My son has that too and we brush his teeth very well.

I would say yes thy will fix them, even if not permanent it will affect their permanent teeth. Both my kids had cavities on their back molars, and had them crowned.

how old is your daughter?
my daughter had a spot on her tooth so brought her in (she was only 2.5 at the time) and because they were only "pre-cavities" (turned out she had 3 ) they said they didn't have to be filled. we just had to be much more diligent about caring for her teeth. she's 4.5 now and her new dentist says those spots aren't even cavities. i don't understand how different dentists can say such different things BUT i will tell you that unless the cavity had gotten deep in the tooth they will try to let it go till the baby teeth fall out.

She's 3.5. That's what I was thinking, that they would leave it alone unless it was hurting her since they are just gonna fall out one day anyway.
