Is it normal to have light period like cramps when loosing your mucous plug? I'm 37.3 weeks and just noticed some blood anf mucous about an hour ago!

If there's blood in it, you should go in. The cramping, is it timeable? Could be early labor...

I'd always had blood smeary towards the end. Unless its liquid blood coming out she shouldn't worry. Her crrvix is dilating most likely causing the PKU to fall out and the cervix has so much blood flow that spitting is normal towards the end. I get t every pregnancy. When I had actual period blood once I went in and that's what they told me. I was 36 weeks and it was the only time it happened unless I had sex or a pelvic exam
