I looked it up on pinterest to get the instructions for this diy nursing cover...it looks really easy but has anyone on here ever made one before, was it easy or hard?? I'm not the best at sewing but this particular one only cost $8 to make so I'm gonna try it!!

It looks like an apron. And it also looks like it would be hot as hell and there is no way my child would want to be in that lol.

I could make it with a light material or something but I think it would be easier than a blanket for when people are around and I'm nursing.

Yeah that's true. Do people not want you to breastfeed in public? Or are you not comfortable doing it without a cover? I'm just curious :) The first few times I was in public and had to nurse DS I used a blanket but he just kept throwing it off so eventually I didn't even use it anymore.

I have one that someone gave me for a baby shower gift. It's really lightweight material and I use it all the time, even when it's hot. Not comfortable doing it in the open :) OP - another option is to go for a more sheer dark fabric?

That's what I was thinking. I can just make it with a light material..lol. I'll just have to see how it turns out I guess but I don't think it will be too hot.
