Was your second labor easier and faster or harder and slower.Did you go before 40wks or overdue second time around?
First labor wouldnt dialate and ended up with a c-secfion after 24 hours. Second labor wouldnt dialate and ended up with a c-section after 24 hours.
About 10 hours faster and almost 3 weeks earlier with my second.
I went to 42 weeks just as I had with my first but my labor was significantly shorter with my second baby. My first labor was 23 1/2 hours my second was 6 1/2 hours.
First labor was over 36 hours with an hour and a half of pushing I went 9 days overdue. Second labor was 2 hours 5 minutes with 20 minutes of pushing I went 5 days overdue.
I am still waiting for my second labor to start and am 3 days overdue. I hope it is a shorter labor.
1st labor- 40 weeks exactly, 7 hours of mild back labor
2nd labor- 40 weeks 2 days, 19 hours of HORRIBLE back labor because she had her arm beside her head the whole time (we didn't know this til I pushed her out and her hand came out along side her head.
1st labor: 36 weeks 2 days, 1 hr 45 mins of labor, 3 pushes.
2nd labor: 36 weeks 3 days, 36 mins of labor, 3 pushes!!
Quoting Little Bug's Momma:" 1st labor- 40 weeks exactly, 7 hours of mild back labor 2nd labor- 40 weeks 2 days, 19 hours of HORRIBLE ... [snip!] ... had her arm beside her head the whole time (we didn't know this til I pushed her out and her hand came out along side her head."
My first was born with her hand beside her head. Once her shoulders passed she shot her arm out straight and came out in a flying superman pose. The nurses nicknamed her SuperBaby
Second was faster. First one was 14hrs pushed for 20mins had him at 38.4 wks
Second 8hrs pushed for 5mins had him at 37wks
Hi, my name is Rose Whyte and I am a research assistant for Dr. Yasmine Kalkstein at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York. We are looking at how women make decisions related to childbirth, through a simple survey.
In particular, we are looking for moms who have ALREADY HAD A C-SECTION and are CURRENTLY PREGNANT.
To take the survey, just go to www.facebook.com/birthchoicesurvey
Completion of the survey will enter the participant in a random drawing in which two $100 Amazon gift certificates will be given out.
Any response to the survey helps the research.
My first labour was 36 hours long, can't remember how long I pushed for, but I also had to have oxytocin to help things along *shudder*. I went into labor 2 days after my due date, had him 3 days after.
Fingers crossed that this one goes faster than my first!!
Quoting JekkaLynn:" My first was born with her hand beside her head. Once her shoulders passed she shot her arm out straight and came out in a flying superman pose. The nurses nicknamed her SuperBaby"
too cute! My little one is almost 4 months and still always has that same hand right beside her face, Its her comfort thing.
1st baby- 42 weeks ( no induction went I to labor on my own) 10 1/2 hours of labor 1 1/2 hours of that were pushing .
2nd -41 weeks 3 days ( agian no induction ) 4 hours of labor start to finish and only two pushes .
3rd - 36 weeks 5 days . 29 hours of labor . 9 active hours and two hard labor hours. Pushed for maybe five minutes.
I have to say my second was the most intense because it was the fastest . I'm hoping my fourth wont be less then four hours that was incredibly intense and more pain then I'd rather get all at once agian.
