I've never made it before. My daughters bday party Is this Saturday so I need something that I van not fail on. Haha. I think it's pretty self explanitory, but what's your taco dip recipe?
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning
Mix together, spread on a platter.
Top with a layer of taco sauce, lettuce, cheese, olives & tomatoes (except I don't use olive or tomato cause I hate them lol) If i make dip for a party I make two trays of it.
I also love chicken wing dip!!
I had a taco dip before that was so delish. I'm thinking cream cheese, I want to use ground beef...so I suppose ill season that with taco seasoning, the use shredded cheese and put lettuce on the top. I know not many ppl like tomatos and olives and all that jazz so ill just do somrthing basic that anyone can enjoy. I think ill serve ortega taco sauce on the side with the scoop chips, so ppl can decide how muvh sauce they'd like. Does this sound good? My only other concern is how do I serve this? Warm I'd assume? But won't the cream cheese melt? The ground beef will of course be pre cooked so what temp and how long should I warm it for? As I'm sure you can tell, I don't cook often lll.

I've never had or made one with beef in it so i don't know. The one i make is a cold dip.
The one i do make that's warm is 2 8oz cream cheese, 1 16 oz can hormel chili (no beans), hot sauce & cheddar cheese, and I just microwave it and stir until everything melts.
I found these on pinterest, I want to make them:
it just says meat and cheese, but I would do meat with taco seasoning, cheddar cheese and serve it with salsa and sour cream.
8 oz of cream cheese (softened)
1 cup of sour cream
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 16oz jar of salsa
Mix in an electric mixer and pour into a 13 X 9 baking dish and top with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, olives or whatever else you like on your taco dip.
I use this recipe minus the reduced fat ingredients. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/07/skinny-taco-dip.html

My dd makes this one. I dont know the measurments cause she just throws it all together, tells me what she needs and I buy it. lol
Refried beans mixed with taco seasoning, on bottom layer
Sourcream on the next layer
Salsa ontop, topped with mixed cheese and black olives.
Chilled about an hr before eating. Its actually really good.
I know she uses a whole can of refried beans and 1 container of sour cream.
