Did your husband nest? I'm His Amy He's My Rory 2 kids; Caldwell, Idaho 49343 posts

As it says lol... Did your husband (or whatever he is to you) nest? My husband's nested with both kids. I have a LITTLE, like very little, mostly getting their room ready each time but aside from that nothing. Today my husband spent like 5 hours scrubbing every nook and cranny of the kitchen, the knobs on everything, pulling out the stove etc. The other day after I'd gone through all our clothes he washed everything we decided to keep and spent 6 hours washing and folding over 12 loads of laundry, "just to be sure it was good and clean".

Needless to say, my house looks AWESOME and he did all the hard work :D

My SO hasn't nested. He didn't nest with his daughter, he isn't nesting with our daughter, he probably won't nest at all.
He works all the time so he is kind of expecting me to start nesting (fat chance! I'm 10 days away from my due date, my ass is staying in bed!)
I already got all of DDs stuff organized (took me a few months to actually finish) & I'm done.

I guess mine did in away. We moved into a bigger place about two weeks before my due date with both of my youngest. My dh says I set it up like that on purpose to get out of moving but both times he did everything including the unpacking and organizing and didnt mind at all. Even volunteered.

He's a very good husband/daddy. When he's not having to sleep all the time since he works night shift. He does a good majority of the cleaning when he can. He always does laundry, I'm not "allowed" to haul it up and down the 3 flights of stairs lol

OMG, yes! He went on a home repair spree my last month or so. Obsessively fixing stuff, painting, and cleaning. He was also into getting the nursery ready, too. It was kind of adorable. :)

Mine works weird hours so he has to sleep most of the day, but on his days off he still does "chores". Sometimes I still have him help before work. It's hard being 8 months pregnant, have a 1 year old to care for, and a dog, and the house, and I just completed going to school full time until September, finally summer break.

Nope he never nested neither did I. I was huge fat pregnant last summer during the horrid heat I had DS the last week of September two weeks early well I think just over two weeks. It was cool here that week and I tried to clean then other than that I was too hot to do anything but lay in bed with the air and every fan in the house blowing on me :) my husband just now starting helping around the house every night. But if he still has the urge to nest he sure can come here if he wants!!!

IT IS! And feels good for me too because I can sit back and enjoy a nice clean house for a while. Hopefully now that school is over and EVERYTHING is caught up, I can keep it up easier. It gets intimidating when there's so much to do.

No, is there some kind of subliminal messaging I can use on him next pregnancy? Come on girl, share your secrets.

Kinda. He moved us into a house and set up all the baby's furniture and crib and what not (he was excited) but I was the psyco cleaning lady. I washed all the baby clothes and hung/ folded each and every thing. I rolled the little baby wash cloths and stacked them. I made sure that nursery was fuckin perfect. And I proceeded to scrub baseboards and walls and floors daily. I was nuts. I also bought new baby stuff like everyday cause I felt like we didn't have enough.

Hah I'll see if he is. He's spent the last 3 days cleaning nonstop. I don't know how much steam he has left.

A week before I had AJ, he gave the bathroom a bleach bath while I was at work. I mean he scrubbed the walls with that shit. It was amazing.
