So this morning I had really intense pressure again ( it's been coming and going for about 2 weeks). I don't know how to explain it but it makes me feel like I need to squat, but then when I squat it doesn't help the pressure at all. I had the most persistant back ache and just felt generally off. Well anyway, SO and I went to get groceries and had been walking in the shops maybe 10 minutes and I all of a sudden got really dizzy and my vision wouldn't focus. I just sat down because I thought I was going to pass out.

The staff ended up getting me cold water and an ice pack because I started sweating extremely badly. After about 10 minutes I started feeling better so we went over to the chemist to check my blood pressure. It was low 115/69. They checked again five minutes later and it was 90/55. They pharmacist was concerned it dropped so much so quickly and advised to speak to my doctor ASAP.

So we called the birthing suite and SO described all the above, plus that I was nauseous and trying to vomit ( I never vomit, just dry reach ) and they asked if I thought I was in labour. I explained that I had an emergency c section for pre e an hellp so I don't know what labour feels like. The pains I am getting (about 4 and hour) I can't talk through but I'm not moaning in pain so surely they would be bh?

She told me to eat something go home an rest then call back in a few hours. It's been 5 and a half hours and I still feel the same in terms of pressure, back ache, dizzy, sweating heaps but feeling hot and cold. I feel bad if I have to go in and everything is fine, but then I know I can't risk anything by staying at home.

I guess what in asking is what did you experience if you went into pre term labour? Did you know you were in labour?

Yes they did. I had to have terbutaline shots. Second time, they gave me a bunch of fluids, and amnio. I made it another week.

Definitely need to go in. It could be something as simple as bad positioning of the baby, and low blood sugar, but you definitely need to go get everything checked out, just to know for sure. Hopefully if it is preterm labor, they can stop it.

The faster you get to L&D, the better, in my opinion.
Best of luck and please keep us updated.

Quick update everyone.

I'm having contractions every 15 minutes but my cervix is closed. They did a swab we r just waiting for results.

They said my urine had high ketones and sugars and that I still have bad thrush (even though I've been treating it for about 8 weeks off and on with no success apparently)

Hopefully they can give you some meds to stop labor for now. It is good that your cervix is still closed though. Hope everything goes well!!!
