You can ask the donor for her latest CBC and HIV neg blood tests. When I donated straight to a few moms I brought it to show the moms without being asked. A good donator will have no problem showing them. I found moms through Human Milk For Human Babies.

I could never pump anything. But my kid didnt take a bottle anyway... I just didn't let down to a pump.

Me either. And I had a strong supply until 7 months when I went back to school and she started refusing to nurse

Quoting Two Princesses:" Oh alright. I was worried because although she seems satisfied after eating, I've seen her eat 4 OZ of pumped milk in one feeding. So thought that if I only make two everyy 4 that might not be good."

Just remember what you pump is NOT what you make. You need to look at output, meaning wet diapers. As long as those are normal, your supply is fine!

Quoting ChristinaLynne:" My daughter was on donated milk from 7-13 months. I got it from human milk for human babies or eats in ... [snip!] ... can be costly. There is also a site called onlythebreast.com. You can buy from it too but it can cost up to 3.00$ an ounce. :/"

Thank you very much for the info. Sounds like if I have any issues I'll be contacting Human Milk For Human Babies California. I live in a major metropolitin
[sp?] area, so that should help.
Really glad I won't have to resort to formula. It's godawful stuff that my older daughter had a lot of tummy trouble on no matter which one we did.

So you were (or are) a donater? That's awesome.
How is Ember doing?

I do, but after a while the pump loses suction on my nipples and I have to redo it. Ug. but I just got 2 OZ (in total) from this last pumping session, hopefully that means baby is getting even more if she needs it.

I donated after my stillbirth. I pumped for 6 woks and got around 500oz.

Ember is doing really well! 6 weeks old last Sunday. She's growing like a weed. So so in love!
