What is your favorite thing to make in a crock pot? Whats the recipe?

I love my crockpot and want to make more in it. I love trying new things!

Whats something you would recommend to a new crock potter?

Watching.

I pretty much only use mine for pot roasts.

The other day I made some really awesome pork chops with apples.

I used granny smith apples, mixed brown sugar, butter (or oil), cinnamon, paprika, salt & pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice into the sliced apples, and put them on the bottom of the crock pot.

I used about 1/4 of an inch thick pork chops (bone in or bone out, doesn't matter) and seasoned them with salt and lemon pepper and seared them off in a skillet just until the outside was golden brown and put them on top of the apples in the crock pot and put some fresh rosemary on top, just because I love rosemary, lol.

It cooked for about 6-7 hours and it was SO GOOD. We totally cleaned out the crock pot, lol.

Roast, pulled pork, chicken, Mac and cheese, soups or stews. Let me know what you're interested in and I'll post the recipes. :)

It was awesome! We had some brown rice and honey carrots on the side. It felt like a holiday with how the house was smelling!

You can make some really great casseroles with crock pots too! My mom makes the best broccoli casserole in one!

We eat a lot of pork chops so I'm always looking for new things to do with them. And I love using the crock pot. :)

Loaded potato soup. Pulled pork was pretty good in the crock pot.

Any of the soup/stew recipes would be great. But the time this baby is born it'll be close to winter so I'd love some ideas that are easy but hearty as well since my hubby is a big guy. Lol.

Chicken Tortilla Soup! I've made this recipe a lot in the crock pot, but I find that switching the taco seasoning with fajita seasoning makes it SO MUCH BETTER.

I tried that one and it came out wonky. Do you have a recipe that doesn't call for enchilada sauce? All the stuff I put in there and that's all you could taste.

I just used tomato paste. No enchilada sauce.

Ive done some amazing roast in there. Get a cheap roast with the least fat, put that in the crock pot along with a jar of chili sauce, a 1qt jar of pickles with juice... cook for 6-8 hours, when done, drain juices, keep a few pickles and add BBQ sauce to taste.

OMG its amazing.
