How about you read what I replied already. He's been to the doctor TWICE in the past two weeks.

There's a bug going around right now that lasts 2-3 weeks. It's viral. Antibiotics won't touch it, so rushing to the doctor is pointless. Maybe that's what he has. I had it. I'm still phlegmy after a month.

We have all done super bone head things as parents.

No worries.

I'd mention it to his pedi and cut yourself a bunch of slack

If it makes you feel any better I see sippy cups like that all the time at work. I always let it soak in hot soapy water and get them one of the center cups and I send the kids cup home with a note letting the parents know. So it happens more often then you think so you shouldn't feel like a bad mom because not many people realize it. Just call his pedi and get him in to be checked out and let them know about the cup.

Quoting orchidlovingmama:" You're not a horrible mom. We all make mistakes. Now you know to wash it. Yes I would take him to the pedi."

This. Don't beat yourself up too much. There are some things you just don't think about, but now you know. It was a learning experience.

Thanks to the ladies that helped. I'll call tomorrow morning and get him a same day appointment. And hope that he's ok :(

His "cold" has been getting better the past couple days. His nose isn't as runny and his cough has slowed. But with this obvious over sight on my part I hope he's ok :(

Does anyone know what kind of tests they'll run to test for the mold in his body? Blood work? Picture of his lungs?

We learn by making mistakes. You're not a bad mom. :) some ladies on here won't admit it, but we all make parenting mistakes.

I'm pretty sure some of DS's sippy cups got moldy even with washing daily. I eventually had to just buy new cups I think some are just prone to it.
