I posted a few days ago that I'm thinking of changing my son's name. well, here: http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about2502378.html

I'm having a hard time coming up with a middle name. Does Maddox Alexander sound good or is that too much? I'm open to any suggestions!

Yeah, that's odd to me. I changed Lily's name but I always knew what name to name her.

I like Maddox Rhys (Reese, but the male spelling is Rhys).

I'd want to use a name I liked to make it worth changing. This is odd to me.

Seems like most people would know what they wanted before even making the move.

OP, maybe you should find a name that has meaning to you or a name you absolutely love and can't live without. Why do you want to change it?

I don't quite understand the need to legally change his name if he goes by his middle name. Many people go by their middle name. You don't even know what you want and expect complete strangers to help you figure out what to name your child who already has a name.

I think that's dumb. If he's going to be known by his middle name, make it his first name.

LOL This. My grandpa went by his middle name.

Lily's name was changed but I ALWAYS called her by the name I really wanted. It just took a long time to actually change it legally.

I'm a big fan of Alexander, it's my middle son's middle name. :) It's very strong and masculine, I always think of Alexander the Great.
Are there any family names you like? Someone you want to honor... your grandfather, dad, a brother? What about Maddox's dad, does he want to carry on part of his name?
