I had the mirena, I had it put in 12 wks after my I had,my son. Hw is now 4 and I had the Mirena taken out in Feb. in hopes of baby #2. My dr. said it could happen that day, or it can take up to a year. My periods since having the mirena out have been light and seem long.

And we're not pregnant yet. I joked with my DH, that if we did any and everything to avoid getting pregnant, we'd probably get pregnant. But because we want baby #2, we cant get pregnant.

Have any of you seen similar results after having the Mirena out.

Thank You! :)

It took me six months to get the hormones out of my body and to get my AF back in check. On the 6 months mark we got pregnant!! I had also had it for over 4 years. I would just give it some more time good luck!

I had mine taken out last July after having it in for 3 years & had a regular 29 day cycle & bleeding was normal 5 days for me but everyone is different.

With my last mirena, I had it taken out in mid march and was pregnant by the end of June. It isn't supposed to have any effect on fertility once removed and in my case it didn't.

I had the mirena for 9 years, had it changed once and it took us about 11 months to get pregnant. What helped us was using home ovulation predictor kits. Had I not used them, we would probably still be ttc as I was way off on my ovulation dates. Just have patience and know its going to take a while but it will happen for you eventually.
