I mean i agree she should be moved up on the list but put as a priority before those that may actually need it is unfair IMO

I'm assuming it is the way it is because of who would have the best shot after.

Again I'll say, it horrible and sad, but after spending time over the years and reading stories about, people waiting for transplants, people that have died waiting and people that have had them, I can't automatically say that a persons age makes them the most important.

Yes i know. Ive been reading it all over but i have to question. What about the little boy who also needs a lung badly and has been waiting longer than sarah? I believe because of all the publicity she got hers first.

I was thinking the same thing. This is going to trigger all sorts of controversy and they are going to have to change that rule. Its not fair to play god and decide case by case who gets to bend the rules and who doesnt.

Exactly! So sad for both children but ones life isnt more precious than another. They should be fair to both children

It very well could be.

Its sad that you have to have loads of money of publicity to save your children. The Acosta family already lost one child to cystic fibrosis while he waited for a lung. This young boy has 2 months before his 12th birthday and they placed him at the bottom of the transplant list so he very well could die. So sad

That's incredibly sad. I can't say I wouldn't throw a stink if my child were in that position. I'd do whatever I could to get my child healthy again.

Not to sound cruel or anything, but why is she any more deserving of a lung than the people further up on the transplant list? If I was on the transplant list or someone I loved was, I'd tell Sarah's parents to fuck off to be honest.

I can help but to agree.

So the sickest people get moved to the top of the list? But only if they're 12 and up? I think that's ridiculous. What makes someone over 12 more deserving than children 11 and under? :? That's just a weird policy imo and I think it should be changed.

And she needs the adult lung?
