workout at home?

I am so unmotivated to work out at home, but so unhappy with my figure. I was 10 pounds under my pre-baby with DD at 11 months PP, and now with my son at 17 months PP, I still have 15 pounds to lose.

I have literally zero time to go to the gym. And I know some people use that as an excuse, but I sincerely love the gym and would make time if I had any extra time. :( I work and go to school full-time and the time I have at home is spent with my husband and kids playing for a little while, eating dinner, giving baths, getting a shower, doing wash, and making lunches for the next day and by the time I'm all done, it's close to 11 pm. And I'm wiped out. I get up at 5 every morning.

I just need to figure out a way to do things quicker so I can find some motivation to work out before bed, maybe.

give yourself some credit... you sound super busy! When I was in school full-time, worked full-time, and a single mom, I NEVER worked out. Just didn't have time! If you are too tired, then listen to your body. If you find the time somewhere in your busy schedule, then go for it. Surely things won't be that crazy forever!

I think my daily routine is a work out enough. I bounce/rock a 22lb kid to sleep 3 times a day lol. But when I didn't have my son to motivate myself I would look at pictures of my inspiration ( a really fit body) and then blast some good hyped up music.

I am so busy. I've been trying to eat better, and I eat good for breakfast and lunch ?but dinner is another story. I just feel awful, and feel like I look awful.

try calorie restriction (but eat lots of healthy stuff to make up for it) then do simple things like if you have stairs do steps at the BOTTOM (god forbid you tripped and fell down the steps =/ ) and when you wake up do some sit ups or push ups before you allow your self breakfast just keep it in your mind like "ok if i want those eggs i better do 15 situps or i dont get them"

I don't really work out at home and I think most people don't either.
So, you are doing really well. Keep up the good work!

I do my insanity workouts first thing in the morning. if I don't get it done in the morning, then I don't want to do it at all. :(
also, I like biking and roller blading.

I used to do Jillian Michael's 30 day shred a few times a week. & when I REALLY didn't want to do that (it can be boring to repeat the same thing all the time- or you might be too sore) I just crank up some music and dance (& that's something you can do with the kiddos too!)

But remember you don't have to workout like a crazy person to lose weight. In fact, your diet is going to be the most important thing.

As far as motivation.. I had My Fitness Pal app on my phone and a Tumblr account that was dedicated to "fitspiration".. which included pictures of bodies I wish I had, healthy meal ideas, & little exercise routines I could do watching TV. Looking at those things throughout the day really kept my mind on track.

Good luck Jess! :) You can do it!!
