My son has episodes of insomnia that last up to a week of what your son does. Won't go to bed til 5/6am and then wakes up at 7/8 for the day. Then he will have normal night for the rest of that month. It's weird.

Haven't found a solution yet. But I believe it has to do with his disorder. I've researched and its a common symptom with his syndrome.

Oh and he doesn't have autism.

As a toddler he slept horribly! maybe a couple of hours, then up for a couple of hours, sleep for another hour and up for the day.
Now he sleeps about 6 hours, usually interrupted but sometimes we get lucky lol
he is 5 and a half

My kid is 5 in October and he may sleep 4 hours one night, and 11 the next, or not sleep more than 3 for 4 days straight-started as a toddler and is still a huge issue. He has autism.
