do you peel an avocado?:oops:
I bought one and want to make some guac. Never in my life peeled an avocado lmao, is there is a special way? fml.
cut it half length wise around the pit and scoop it out.
ETA: If it's a good ripe one, you can just squeeze it out.
I cut it in half around the pit and then just scoop out the insides after taking the pit out.
Save the pit to put it in the guacamole to keep it from turning brown.
I cut it in half straight through the pit, and then take the pit halves out of each side. Then I scoop. Or, if I'm trying to get avocado chunks for sandwiches or something, I just slice it while inside the peel and "pop" them out.
Make sure its ripe. It should push in a little. I made that mistake by food processing ones that were not rip and I had a hell of a time cutting the skins off.
You live and learn !!!
Hahahahhaha love this question ya doofus
f**k off lmfao, the recipe online said to peel the avocados.......................... :x
Quoting Elliot Grace's Mama:" Hahahahhaha love this question ya doofus"
I blame google
I quarter them length wise and then peel the skin back. I never scoop...but my fingers get pretty messy.
Just like everyone else said lol, I cut mine whichever way I feel like it. You can leave the pit in but that will not keep it from turning brown, it is a myth. I spray a little cooking spray on it and that helps a little bit.
