This might be a stupid question, but can apple cider vinegar go bad? I am making a salad for dinner, and I just use oil and vinegar, but I ran out of my red wine vinegar and forgot to get more, and \I found a bottle in the way back of my pantry so only God knows how old it is, lol.

I bet it is fine. vinegar is used to preserve (pickle) things.

does it have an expiration date on it?

Is there any sediment in the vinegar? How does it smell?

It is used to preserve things but ACV has a shelf life...and I think it's around 5 years.
