Are you new? If so, welcome.
My labor sucked ass. I'm not pregnant nor want to get pregnant any time soon but I'm hoping next labor experience will be better.

Welcome ! I'm 34 weeks with my fourth . My first labor was 10 1/2 hours from start to finish at 42 weeks 1 day. I was kinda out of it and in a haze for the most part . I ended up with my natural water birth though so it was all good . My second labor was four hours start to finish at 41 weeks 3 days. I really didn't even think it was the real thing till two hours into it. I made it to the birth center 15 minute before my daughter arrived ( another water birth btw) . Though it was a much faster delivery it was also more painful and intense. My third labor was much more interesting though . They say the thirds the wild card and there right. My water started leaking at 36 weeks 4 days ( the day of my baby shower) and contractions started shortly after . They stayed at pretty mild contractions 30 min apart till 5-6 the next morning. Hard labor started around noon or so . My son was born at 2:56pm( another water birth). My contractions were never consistent with him though even when I was pushing. One contraction would last one minute then the next would only be 20 seconds. Irritated the crap out of me . We later found out that his cord was thicker then normal which I guess the contractions were not consistent to allow him more time inbetween the contractions to recover . This time around I'd like to not have a super fast delivery and consistent contractions.

Congratulations!! I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant with baby boy #3. With my first delivery, I started contracting at 3:30 AM and was admitted to the hospital at 8 AM. The dr had to break my water. As the day progressed, my body started slowing down with the dilation. Then, my son started going into distress and they had to pump fluids back into my uterus. Because his heartrate was dropping so low, I was taken in for a C-Section. However, the dr hooked the monitor back up to my son in the OR and at that time his heart rate was steady so I was still able to deliver vaginally. He came out very limp with the cord around his neck. He was born at 8:16 PM. Once he was cleaned and evaluated by the NICU doctor he was found to be perfectly healthy. He's now a brilliant, amazing 3 year old.
My second son I started contracting at midnight and went to labor and delivery with contractions 5 mins apart. After 2 hours of monitoring and contractions 3 mins apart, they decided to send me home because I hadn't dilated past the 2 cm I was when I came in. I knew I was in labor so I went into my dr as soon as I could (10AM) and I was 4 CM and admitted immediately. Again, I had to have my water broken but this delivery was very smooth. He was born at 6:33 PM perfectly healthy! I am praying for another smooth delivery for #3!!
