Money for a divorce user banned

My SO has been trying to get his ex to sign the divorce papers for quite some time now and shes been avoiding him.

If he contacts her shell respond until he asks her to sign the papers then she disappears again and she had the divorce papers sent back claiming she wasnt herself when he had her served.

Shes all about money and using people for it. She is really nasty and will do anything for the right amount of money. So today my SO offered her 100 dollars to sign.

They have no ties. She has 8 children, 5 of which she had during the course of their marriage and none were my SOs even though she tried to claim a few were.

Either way... If you were adamant about not signing and your ex offered you money would you sign?

We believe its because my SO has a history of going back to her and shes hoping he will but my SO is planning a wedding for us in November before the birth of our third child and he really wants to get rid of her.

Also her and I exchanged words when she kept trying to contact him so it may be bc of that as well.

Thoughts? Would you sign?

I would sign anyway....with no money....

But if I was her, money hungry, 100 bucks wouldnt cut it.

Ugh. I hate when I hear stories about the other person not signing. It looks pathetic. Yes, I would sign even without the money. Why hold on to the marriage that is obviously already gone

Here you don't even have to have the other person sign it. If they don't sign or show up to court you can still get a divorce, you might want to look into that.

He hired a divorce attorney and the attorney says they need her signature to continue or at least have her served.

She wasnt served bc she claimed she was not herself when he had her served so she never received the papers in her hand and until she does its nothing they can do.

He did the first two and he knew the last two werent his bc they werent even in the same state.

As for the middle child hes in the process of getting a test as we speak bc the girls guardian showed up to court this time. He has to get it approved bc shes 4 and the guardian has to agree which we are hoping she does.

He highly doubts shes his since she looks so much like the other guy.

I don't know how the process goes, but has he looked into having a sheriff go to her place and serve her the papers?

I dont believe so but if the person says she isnt herself or that they dont know who she is then they cant serve her either i believe.

What's the law in your state? In this state, the ones with out paternity established would be his (even if he believes otherwise) because they are married. She would have to sign affidavits releasing him from obligation.

Not sure but i know he does not have to support the other 4 that he knows werent his.

He pays child support for the little one and another man is coming around saying hes her dad so hes trying to get a test and get the child support suspended.

He was just denied bc they were in fact married so he has to continue to pay the money and needs her permission for the test.

If she's really all about money, I'm sure $100 is nothing to her.
However, if I was him. I would not be offering money, I'd take her ass to court and force her to sign them.
