Proud Momma whitneynator 1 child; Iowa 4114 posts30th May
So last December DS (3) was diagnosed Autistic and was evaluated by the school district, and began preschool right after we moved and started the first week of February. We got his IEP in March after a month in the classroom so the teachers could get a better sense of who he was. He goes to preschool for 4 hours a day. Well they made a communication rubric with 30 things they want him to be able to do before his next IEP meeting (one year) Well I just got an update in the mail since summer vacation just started and he is already doing 17 out of 30. In just two months. I cant wait for next school year to see how much more he learns. We also have an appointment with the developmental pedi in August (got the referral from his new doctor, but they are so booked.) I cant believe my baby will be 4 in just 3 weeks!
