My DD is going to be 5 next month so it's been a while since I've dealt with infant carseats. What are the good infant seats on the market right now. We are ERF's, DD only FF at 4. I plan to have a bucket seat until a year and switch to a Diono to RF around 1 year old. There just seems to be more seats right now than there were 5 1/2 years ago when I bought DD's. Any advice would be awesome! :) Thanks!

Don't Diono carseats start at 5 pounds? Why not just buy the one carseat and be done with it? You could babywear whenever you needed to take the baby out.

I contemplated that actually, I think maybe I'm thinking to do it this way cause that's what I did for my DD? Hrm. I think maybe for the ease of transporting her to the stroller? You make a good point though!

You know how you learn more with each baby? I've already decided that my next baby I'm just straight investing in the convertible car seat and babywearing until he/she's big enough for the stroller. My first time around, I had the travel system and then my aunt gave me her car seat when he turned a year old and I FF'd him. (I didn't know ANYTHING!) And then with my daughter, I had the travel system and she outgrew her infant carrier at like 8 months! And we ended up with a Britax convertible carseat. So next time, I'm not even bothering to waste my money on a seat he/she won't use but for a few months and just starting with the one that will be used for like 5 years.
