I had my daughter at 30 weeks, so I am getting weekly shots of progesterone with this pregnancy. I just got week 2 on Thursday, and there is a huge knot in my arm, and it hurts so bad!

Anyway, was this successful for anyone? I really hope this baby stays in until it's due!

They put them in your arm? Youch.

I do them in the butt and I get those painful knots as well, but I have to do them every day when I'm pregnant so I develop what I like to call "lumpy butt."

I only had 2 Progesterone Shots before I went to my doctor for a rash (Thought it was hives) and they seen that my cervix was completely thinned out and I was 3 cm dilated with mild contractions (About a month before my cervix was 14cm). I'm currently in the hospital on bedrest until my son is born which could be from now till September. They have me taking the Progesterone suppositories now, which is confusing since I don't have a cervix but from what they've told me is the hormones should help a bit. I'm not sure if the shots work, but I do think the suppositories are carrying me further to each week. I've been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and will be 26 weeks tomorrow! :) I just want to say, good luck and I hope they work for you Momma! :)

That was my reaction, too. I got them in my rear, but didn't really get knots in it because either SO or I would rub the injection site in circles for a while after the oil was injected.

She did say we could try it in my butt, but I am afraid I won't be able to sit! Lol.

My arm still hurts and it has been 3 days since my last one :(

I will give it a try next time!

Ask if they can give it to you in your hip? Atleast for me that was the best spot. The first one hurt, but after that it wasn't bad at all. They rotate sides like I'm sure they do with the butt or arm.

You had her at 30 weeks? So the progesterone didn't help?

What kind did you have? You might want to look into TAC.
