My cousin's little girl was diagnosed with RA at 3 years old, but she is also diabetic. My friends little girl was diagnosed with RA at 5. Does she seem to constantly be in pain everywhere?

She complains of belly aches all the time... but no diet change has made a difference. She complains of headaches a lot, too and sometimes has days where she has horrible temper tantrums and is just out of control.. I assume its her foot bothering her when that happens.

Your cousins little girl... did she have problems with her bones like this?

Hers was more constant fevers and swelling of her joints. My friends little girl was exactly that way before she was diagnosed. Always had a tummy ache, that would make her miss school. Her arms wouldn't bend when they finally ended up retesting her.

What do they do for it? Did it start with smaller joints?

That sounds like a case of severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. It starts out in the hands, wrist, fingers, ect first.

She is medicated (well both of them) and doing AWESOME! It did start in their toes and fingers. Just kept getting worse.

Were you able to get her into the dr?

No, they were able to fit us in tomorrow, though. I took the day off of work tomorrow. She has a physical first thing in the morning to give her to "ok" for her MRI on Friday and then at 1 we go in to see the Orthopedics dr about her fingers.
